NDIS & Funded Driving Lessons Adelaide
2Pass Driving School provides NDIS driving lessons and funded driver training in Adelaide for learners who may benefit from additional support, structure, repetition or extra time when learning to drive.
We work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants, families, Occupational Therapists, support providers and other organisations funding driving lessons.
STANDARD ONLINE BOOKINGS – NORMAL PRICING
If you are able to book and pay for lessons online by card, our normal advertised lesson prices apply.
Simply choose your instructor, book an available lesson and pay through our online booking system.
A paid invoice/receipt is automatically generated after payment, which can then be provided to your plan manager or funding provider if required.
There is no additional funded administration charge when lessons are booked and paid for online.
This is generally the simplest and most economical option where your funding arrangements allow payment to be made first and the paid invoice submitted afterwards.
QUOTE OR INVOICE REQUIRED BEFORE PAYMENT – FUNDED RATES
Some plan managers, support providers and funding organisations require a formal quote, invoice or other documentation before they can make payment.
Where 2Pass is required to manually prepare and manage funding documentation before payment, our funded driver training rates apply.
Funded Driver Training – $150 per hour
Funded VORT Training & Test Package – $550
These rates incorporate the additional administration associated with funded bookings, which may include preparing quotes and invoices, communicating with funding providers, confirming funding arrangements, processing payments and allocating funded credit to the learner’s account.
Once payment has been received, the approved credit can be added to the learner’s 2Pass account and lessons can be arranged with an appropriate instructor.
NDIS FUNDED DRIVING LESSONS
Driving can provide greater independence and make it easier to access employment, education, appointments and the community.
Some NDIS participants may be able to use their funding for specialised driver training where additional instruction is required because of their individual needs.
If you already have an Occupational Therapy driving assessment or report, you are welcome to send us the relevant recommendations when requesting your quote.
You do not necessarily need an NDIS plan to access our supportive driver training.
STRUCTURED AND SUPPORTIVE DRIVER TRAINING
Every learner develops at a different pace.
Lessons can be structured around the learner’s current ability and may include:
• Clear and consistent instructions
• Breaking driving tasks into smaller steps
• Additional repetition and practice
• Extra time to process instructions and traffic situations
• Developing observation routines
• Building confidence with decision-making and gap selection
• Improving steering, braking and vehicle control
• Road positioning and intersection procedures
• Hazard awareness and traffic management
• Gradually progressing from quieter roads to more complex traffic situations
The aim is to help the learner develop safe, confident and increasingly independent driving skills.
LEARNERS WITH ADDITIONAL SUPPORT NEEDS
We regularly receive enquiries from learners, families, Occupational Therapists and support providers looking for driving instruction for people who may benefit from additional assistance.
This can include learners with:
• Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Learning or processing difficulties
• Developmental or cognitive challenges
• Anxiety or low confidence
• Other individual learning needs
Support can be adapted to the individual learner rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY DRIVING ASSESSMENTS
If an Occupational Therapist has already completed an on-road driving assessment, their recommendations can be useful when planning future lessons.
An OT report may identify areas such as:
• Early and controlled braking
• Mirror, indicator and braking sequences
• Steering and road positioning
• Observation and hazard awareness
• Gap selection and decision-making
• Building confidence and independence
Where appropriate, lessons can then focus specifically on the areas identified in the assessment.

• Number of recommended driving hours
• Whether you have an Occupational Therapy driving assessment
• Your preferred lesson area
• Any support item or reference that needs to appear on the quote
• Plan manager or funding organisation details
• Any specific invoicing requirements
We can then confirm whether we have a suitable instructor and prepare the required documentation.

These funded rates apply where manual preparation or administration of quotes, invoices or funding arrangements is required before payment.
SELF-MANAGED & PLAN-MANAGED NDIS PARTICIPANTS
Before requesting a funded quote, it may be worth checking with your plan manager whether you are permitted to book and pay online and submit the paid invoice afterwards.
If you can book and pay online:
Book online → Pay by card → Receive your invoice automatically → Normal advertised pricing applies.
If your provider requires a quote or invoice before payment:
Contact 2Pass → We prepare the required documentation → Funded rates apply.
OTHER FUNDED DRIVING LESSONS
Our funded driver training service is not limited to NDIS participants.
We can also work with organisations funding driving lessons on behalf of clients, including employment services and support providers.
Where lessons can be booked and paid for through our normal online system, standard pricing applies.
