Option 2: Organise Your Own VORT
Want to organise your own VORT without completing a VORT Driving Lesson for assessment first?
You can arrange your VORT directly with an authorised examiner and book VORT preparation with us beforehand.
Where possible, we recommend booking your training at the same location as your VORT and immediately before, or as close to your test time as practical.
How Much Training Should I Book?
VORT requires specific driving techniques and a high standard of driving, even for experienced drivers.
As a general guide:
Experienced drivers / overseas licence holders: around 5 hours of VORT-specific training on average.
Learner drivers who have completed their required driving experience: around 7 hours of VORT-specific training on average.
Planning Your Training & VORT
At least 3 hours of VORT-specific training, with 4+ hours preferred for a self-booked VORT.
Where possible, we recommend completing a substantial training session on the day of your VORT, immediately before or as close to the test time as practical. This gives you the best opportunity to practise the test area, refresh the VORT requirements and correct any last-minute issues before your assessment.
You can still spread your training over multiple days or arrange the hours in whatever way suits you best.
VORT Time: We recommend booking your VORT starting by 2pm or earliier, as later tests can run into busier after-school traffic and pickup times. However, the final test time is your choice and can be arranged directly with the examiner.
Because we have not assessed your driving beforehand, we cannot know how much training you personally will require.
How It Works
1. Check our training availability
Check our online booking calendar and find suitable VORT Driving Lessons at your preferred test location.
2. Check the examiner's availability Contact an authorised VORT examiner and find a VORT time that works with our training availability.
3. Book both separately
Book your training online with 2Pass and arrange your VORT directly with the examiner.
4. Send us your VORT details
Once your VORT is booked, please SMS us the examiner’s name, date, time and location on 0423 493 115 before your lesson with us.
Please make sure suitable training and VORT times are available before making your bookings.

Bob's Toyota Corolla Cross is similar to the Toyota vehicles used for VORT training with 2Pass, making it a convenient option for completing your training and VORT in similar vehicles.
Your VORT is booked and paid for directly with Bob and is separate from your 2Pass training booking.
Elizabeth VORTs
If you prefer to complete your VORT at Elizabeth, you can organise your VORT directly with an authorised examiner and book VORT preparation with Ali at Elizabeth beforehand.
Where possible, arrange your training immediately before, or as close as practical to, your VORT.

No prior assessment or instructor approval is required for this option.
This option allows you to book your VORT before being assessed by one of our instructors. Because we have not seen you drive beforehand, we cannot advise how much training you personally will need to reach VORT standard.
The training-hour figures above are a guide only. A 3 or 4 hour booking does not mean that you will be ready to pass after that amount of training.
Your instructor will use the time you have booked to provide focused VORT preparation and help you prepare as thoroughly as possible for your test.
Booking training with 2Pass does not mean that you have been assessed as VORT-ready and does not guarantee that you will pass the VORT.
